Reflecting back on the path traveled in 2016 – Hemp

WARNING/DISCLAIMER – GOD, THE BIBLE, LINKS TO SCRIPTURE WILL BE MENTIONED IN THIS POST and links to other websites

Hemp is definitely a path that I wouldn’t see myself traveling down – with thinking Hemp was a synthetic drug so my path to understanding Hemp and what it is was an unusual path that’s why I think I traveled down it was able to understand it more, having an open mind.

My path to Hemp start about 6+ months ago, after chatting with some people, and the conversation went to a Scripture in the Bible about the Tree of life on the river and the 12 different fruits that were produced every month – I don’t think I was listening fully, as I thought it was a plant next to the tree of life. For a few days all I could think about was a plant that one month produced Bananas one month, Apricots the next, Apples the next, Oranges the next you get my drift, I was thinking wow never heard of anything like that, would love something like that growing in the garden, what a amazing tree that would be.

When I finally decided to research as my imagination was running away, I wanted to find out what it meant, if it was an actually plant.
I was typing in different things trying to find information, some I can find now and some I can’t, as I can’t remember which sites I found the information as I was clicking from one thing to the next trying to find information off what one said to see if it was backed up.
As I wasn’t going to take a lot of this information lying down, as remember my mind set was it was a synthetic drug – meaning in my mind it was a man made drug – boy was I wrong.

So I kept digging and finding information and going for a right royal tour of the internet on a information search.
So here is some information I found – first it lead me to scripture.

down the middle of the main street of the city. On either side of the river stood a tree of life, producing twelve kinds of fruit and yielding a fresh crop for each month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Gotten from Bible Hub – Here – Revelation 22:2

When I actually read it the actually scripture instead of when I was told it, it felt more powerful of I could see the words and reread it to try and understand it.
Producing twelve kinds of fruit and yielding a fresh crop for each month – still thinking fruit here as it says fruit.
But the next part and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations – hang on so this is saying using the leaves we could heal the world right – I was thinking I haven’t heard of anything that could do that heal everyone’s sickness – that would be pretty amazing right?

Still digging and digging, in some of the key word searches I came across some sites saying they believed Marijuana was the 12 bearing fruit plant in the Bible – I came across a site, I think it was this one, not surer but it seems similar to what I remember but this is what stuck out –

How was cannabis used in Biblical times and lands?

Cannabis was used 12 ways: clothing, paper, cord, sails, fishnet, oil, sealant, incense, food, and in ceremony, relaxation and medicine. For so the Lord said unto me, “I will take my rest and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs. For afore harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and take away and cut down the branches.” (Isaiah 18:4-5)

Marijuana & the Bible –
And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. (Ezekiel 34:29)

The quickest one to learn about Hemp is from this Funky song, very catchy beat!

Have you ever wanted a home that was Non-Toxic, Mold-Pest and Fire Resistant  – sounds crazy right but Hemp apparently has the ability to be all that with building with Hemp Create.

After finding out you can Build sustainable homes from Hemp which took about 3 months to grow, they only grow once a year, then you could cut that down, and use some of to build a home, called Hempcrate – using hemp and Lime – which doesn’t harbor/grew mold due to it’s ability to regulate humidity.
Have you ever wanted a home that was Non-Toxic, Mold-Pest and Fire Resistant
The you could use the other parts of the hemp to make furniture, cupboards, linen, curtains, bedding, carpet, food, heath products, soaps, and more …

This blew my mind going from thinking Hemp was a synthetic drug to something that is not a man made drug, and not actually a drug as you can’t get high on Hemp as it has less THC than Marijuana, and would only give you a big headache if you were to smoke it, but as you can see it has many more uses than smoking it, why would you want too, each to their own choices ….

“Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country.” – Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President

“Make the most you can of the Indian Hemp seed and sow it everywhere.” – George Washington, U.S. President

1941 Henry Fords first Model-T was built to run on Hemp gasoline, and some of the body was made from Hemp plastic – Video Here!

In 1853, the first pair of Levi’s jeans was made. Due to a fire in the Levis archives (San Francisco’s Great Earthquake and Fire – 1906 ) it can no longer be proven, but many believe the first pair of Levis were made from hemp.

There is so much information on Hemp, but the main points I learnt from it is how it can improve our lives,
Food – Hemp Seed Oil has a very healthy 3:1 ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3.
Hempcrate homes – Non-Toxic, Mold-Pest and Fire Resistant
Hemp Plastic – is made from Cellulose is used in 3D printers, so hemp cellulose can be used to make almost anything and is an affordable biodegradable plastic
Hemp Clothing – Hemp is 95% more sun protect-ant than cotton, uses a sixth of the water to grow it and no chemicals involved.
Hemp Paper – only takes three months to grow and needs less water, acreage and time to grow than any tree.

Hemp can be made into over 50,000 products just at the moment and that is growing
It doesn’t need chemicals to grow or to process it this can all be done naturally, you can also use it in homemade cleaners – you can use Dr Bronners Hemp castile soap which has been around for 100 years, which you can use to wash your dishes, make shampoo, washing powder, cleaners.
You can also use hemp in beauty products and healing balms.

In Summary Hemp can be used for many things and can replace a lot of products we use now, and have a good effect on our health, environment, reduce waste, for less of the amount of land we use now to produce  and saving money and providing more jobs.

I’ve brought Three hemp products – Dr Bronners castile soap – where I used it to make washing powder – which I used different recipes that I found online and ended up playing with the recipe and molding different recipes together and adding some extras in to make a washing powder I like to use with out the chemical whiff you get in some of them, and a cleaner which cleans dirt, black mold, bathrooms, kitchens – which I got offline from a NZ site – which worked perfectly without having to mess with the recipe.
Hemp Cloths – been using these for a few months, at first they are quite stiff but they soften up and really good to use, they clean up big size messes really well.
Healing balm which has organic hemp seed oil and other organic and natural oils in it,  works really well on bee stings – a screaming crying child and after putting it on looked confused to why they were crying and ran off happy – so did it’s job! as so works on acne, swelling – to bring it down, bruises, cuts.
